論「言五色根至如種生芽」，重釋五根比量也。文中有三：先喻、次法、後結。此文喻也，如文可解。

On the Śāstra's statement: "As for the words 'the five material sense faculties': […] just as a sprout is produced from a seed": This reiterates the explanation of the inference of the five faculties. Within the text there are three parts: first, the simile; second, the application to phenomena; third, the conclusion. This passage is the simile, which can be understood from the text.
