「論曰至故先說」，此釋信等八根先說所以。二十二根信等是後，次前門中復明信等，故乘前便說信等根。

"The treatise says: up to are therefore spoken of first"—this explains why the eight faculties of faith and so forth are spoken of first. Among the twenty-two faculties, faith and so forth are listed later, but in the gate immediately preceding, faith and so forth were also clarified; therefore, taking advantage of the preceding context, the faculties of faith and so forth are spoken of.
