論「若成就樂至及此身根」,第二釋定成四。若成就樂及身根定成意、命、捨故。聖生無色,成就樂不成身根;異生生第四定,成就身根不成樂根。此身、樂二根不互定成。
On the Śāstra's statement: 'If one possesses pleasure up to and this physical faculty,' this is the second part, explaining the definite possession of four [faculties]. If one possesses pleasure and the physical faculty, one definitely possesses mind, vitality, and equanimity. When an ārya is born in the formless realm, they possess pleasure but do not possess the physical faculty; when an ordinary person is born in the fourth dhyāna, they possess the physical faculty but do not possess the pleasure faculty. These two faculties—the physical and pleasure—do not mutually necessitate possession.
