論「有餘師說至受段食故」，已下第二述曇無德建立根也。真諦云：「經部。於中有三：一破婆沙師建立二十二根、二以三頌建立二十二根、三長行釋。此破五根導養身也，云此是識非根用也。」

On the Śāstra's: "Other masters say: […] because of receiving coarse food": from here down is the second [major section], recounting the establishment of the faculties by the Dharmaguptakas. Paramārtha says: "The Sautrāntikas. Within this there are three parts: first, refuting the Vaibhāṣika masters' establishment of the twenty-two faculties; second, establishing the twenty-two faculties with three verses; third, the prose commentary. This refutes the five faculties' guiding and nourishing the body, saying that this is [the function of] consciousness, not the function of the faculties."
