論「此中汝等至自在作者」，論主兩關破也。若說實我天授，喻不極成。說蘊天授，便作非自在作者。

On the Śāstra's statement, "Here, when you... an independent agent": the author of the Śāstra refutes it on both horns of the dilemma. If one speaks of the real self as Devadatta, the simile is not universally established; if one speaks of the skandhas as Devadatta, they then become a non-independent agent.
