論「汝所執我至故非自在」，論主破實我自在也。實我雖不待因，無所作故，亦非自在。

On the Śāstra's statement, "The self postulated by you... therefore is not independent": the author of the Śāstra refutes the independence of a real self. Although a real self does not depend on causes, because it performs nothing, it is also not independent.
