The treatise says: "Having thus explained... what dharmas are those?" From here down, half a verse is the fourth section, explaining the dharmas of the unwholesome ground. There are two layers of explanation, which can be understood as before. The verse says "Only pervading unwholesome minds"; this has four propositions: There are those unwholesome and not pervasive to the unwholesome, namely the seven such as anger, and anger among the indeterminate. There are those pervasive to the unwholesome and not exclusively unwholesome, namely the ten of the great ground, the six of the great defilements, and investigation and analysis among the indeterminate. There are those both pervasive to the unwholesome and exclusively unwholesome, namely the two dharmas of the unwholesome ground. There are those neither exclusively unwholesome nor pervasive to the unwholesome, namely three of the minor defilements, and sleep, regret, greed, pride, doubt, etc., among the indeterminate. Exclusively wholesome mental factors have already been excluded by 'unwholesome', so there is no need to analyze them by exclusive and pervasive.
