論「若緣未作事云何名惡作」，問也。謂若有所作，此可說為從境等故名為惡作。若有追悔不作之事，何得相從名惡作耶？

[Regarding the phrase of] the treatise, "If it takes as object what has not been done, how is it called 'badly done'?", this is a question. That is, if something has been done, this can be called 'badly done' (regret) by following the object and so forth. If there is remorse over what was not done, how can it follow this and be called 'badly done'?
