「論曰至如欲界說」，文中有三：一明初定、二明中間、三明二禪已上。此文第一明初定也。不定除瞋、惡作、睡眠，小惑除七，不善地二，餘皆同欲。以於上界無不善法眠、惡作故。

"The Śāstra says […] as explained for the desire realm." Within the text there are three parts: first, explaining the first dhyāna; second, explaining the intermediate [dhyāna]; third, explaining the second dhyāna and above. This passage is the first, explaining the first dhyāna. Among the unfixed, hatred, regret, and sleep are excluded; among the minor afflictions, seven are excluded; and the two of the unwholesome grounds are excluded; the rest are all identical to the desire realm. This is because in the higher realms there are no unwholesome dharmas, sleep, or regret.
