4.17
論「由有攝熟長持業故」，答也。於中有二：此第一答。以業有故，知體有也。
The treatise says: 'Because they have the functions of cohesion, ripening, distention, and supporting', which is the answer. Within this there are two: this is the first answer. Because the functions exist, one knows that the substances exist.
