論「此法非得至類此應思」，答捨時也。捨有二種：一有雖不易地，得此法時捨此非得。二有雖非新得此法，由易地故，捨此地非得，得彼地非得。

[On the] Śāstra['s statement]: "The non-possession of this dharma … should be considered in like manner": This answers the time of abandonment. Abandonment is of two kinds: First, although one does not change levels, when obtaining this dharma one abandons this non-possession. Second, although one does not newly obtain this dharma, because of changing levels, one abandons the non-possession of this level and obtains the non-possession of that level.
