論「觸謂根境至能有觸對」，《正理論》云「由根、境、識和合而生，能為受因有所觸對，說名為觸。」

On the Śāstra's statement, "Contact means sense faculty, object... being able to make contact": the Nyāyānusāra says: "Born from the coming together of sense faculty, object, and consciousness, able to serve as the cause of sensation and having contact [with the object], it is called contact."
