論「若無為法至應緣無境」，有部轉難。若無為法唯是無者，如緣虛空及涅槃識，應緣無境。境既是無，如何生識？無所扶故。

[When] the treatise [states]: "If unconditioned dharmas ... would take a non-existent object," the Vaibhāṣika raises another objection: "If unconditioned dharmas are merely non-existent, then a consciousness that takes space or nirvāṇa as an object would take a non-existent object. If the object is non-existent, how could it generate consciousness, since there is nothing to support it?"
