論「有說至異熟不爾」，敘異說也。此說唯除異熟因，皆有士用果。此師意說：士用果唯俱生、無間，不許隔越，同類因等竝有無間士用力故。異熟即無，是故除之。士用果中亦有離繫，此中說六因得故，不說離繫。

On the Śāstra's statement, "Some say… the retributive is not so": This recounts an alternative view. This view says that excluding only the retributive cause, all have virile results. This master's intention is: the virile result is only simultaneous and contiguous, not admitting what is separated by an interval, because homogeneous causes and the like all have contiguous virile efficacy. Retribution does not have this; therefore it is excluded. Among virile results there is also disjunction; here, because it speaks of what is obtained by the six causes, disjunction is not spoken of.
