論「應知唯是有記所生」，略答三問。體是無記，從有記生故，即知非是等流及所長養，此二因果必同類故，亦證此法唯有情。

On the Śāstra's statement, "It should be known that it is born solely from the determinable": This briefly answers the three questions. Its substance is morally neutral, but because it is born from the determinable, one thereby knows that it is neither an outflow nor nourished, since the cause and fruit of these two must belong to the same category; it also proves that this phenomenon is solely sentient.
