論「由慧盡法至名離繫果」,第三釋離繫果相也。滅是盡義、擇是慧義,由慧盡法名為擇滅,即是擇滅名離繫果。
The Śāstra states: "The dharma that is the cessation through wisdom [...] is called the fruition of disjunction (visaṃyoga-phala)." This is the third section, explaining the characteristic of the fruition of disjunction. Cessation (nirodha) has the meaning of exhaustion; selection (pratisaṃkhyā) has the meaning of wisdom. The cessation of dharmas through wisdom is called 'cessation through selection' (pratisaṃkhyā-nirodha), and this very cessation through selection is named the fruition of disjunction.
