論「擇滅應言由道力得」，別釋擇滅。道士用果，前類是生，滅因道得，義不同故所以別釋。若生、若得皆對有力，名士用果。擇滅於道離繫縛義是離繫果，有力得義是士用果。

The Śāstra states: "Cessation through selection should be said to be obtained through the power of the path." This specifically explains cessation through selection. It is a virile fruition of the path. The previous categories were production, whereas cessation is attained through the path; because the meaning is different, it is explained separately. Whether production or attainment, both are relative to capability, and are termed virile fruition. In relation to the path, cessation through selection is a fruition of disjunction in the sense of disjunction from bondage; in the sense of being attained through capability, it is a virile fruition.
