論「應知彼文至色等六境」，此是通也。因決定者，據四因說，不據同類、遍行二因。果決定者，謂增上、士用及異熟果，非等流果。

The Śāstra states: "One should know that that text ... the six sensory objects such as visible form," which is the resolution. Determination of cause is stated based on four causes, not based on the two causes of sabhāga-hetu and sarvatraga-hetu. Determination of fruit refers to adhipati-phala, puruṣakāra-phala, and vipāka-phala, not niṣyanda-phala.
