7.72

論「又諸世間至一因所起」，第二因也。所以知諸法非一因生也。若許諸法一因而生，因既是一更無異因，其所生果應一時起，非前後次第等。言次第等者，更等後過也。

The treatise says: "Furthermore, the worlds... arisen from a single cause." This is the second reason. It is why it is known that dharmas are not generated from a single cause. If one accepts that dharmas are generated from a single cause, then since the cause is one and there is no distinct cause, its produced fruits should arise all at once, not sequentially in before-and-after order. The phrase "sequentially and so forth" further encompasses subsequent faults.
