8.16

論「無色界中至理決然故」，已下第三明無色界。於中有四：一無處無色、二就生分處、三證無方處、四問答所依。此文初也。以無色故，無色界中無別處所。

The Śāstra says: "In the formless realm ... because the principle is definitive." From here below, the third part clarifies the formless realm. In this, there are four points: first, having no place because of being formless; second, dividing places with respect to rebirth; third, proving the absence of spatial locations; fourth, questions and answers on the basis of support. This text is the first. Because of being formless, there are no distinct locations in the formless realm.
