「論曰至所依事故」，束為三也。無明、愛、取是煩惱性；行、有是業性；識、名色、六處、觸、受、生、老死是事性，以是煩惱、業所依事故。

"The Śāstra says: ... up to 'entities that serve as their support'": this synthesizes them into three. Ignorance, craving, and grasping are of the nature of defilement; formations and existence are of the nature of karma; consciousness, name-and-form, the six sense bases, contact, feeling, birth, and aging-and-death are of the nature of entities, because they are entities that serve as the basis for defilement and karma.
