9.16

論「鮮白苾芻尼至無慚愧故」，明願力故常與衣俱，在俗即為俗衣，出家變為法服。除菩薩、鮮白苾芻尼，所餘中有以無慚愧故、無願力故，皆無衣也。

[On the Śāstra's statement:] "The bhikṣuṇī Śuklā […] because they lack shame and dread of blame": Clarifying that through the power of vows, she is constantly accompanied by clothing; while in secular life it is secular clothing, and when leaving household life it transforms into Dharma robes. Except for the Bodhisattva and the bhikṣuṇī Śuklā, all remaining intermediate existences, because they lack shame and dread of blame and lack the power of vows, are without clothing.
