9.221

論「有餘師釋至諸行得生」，此述經部異釋。即《正理論》牒破云上坐也。此師意者，此有故彼有，破無因也；此生故彼生，破常因也，生非常故也。

The treatise says: "Other masters explain: [Because this exists, that exists, refutes the causeless; because this arises, that arises, refutes the permanent cause] to [formations can be born]." This recounts a different explanation of the Sautrāntika, which is cited and refuted as the Elder in the Nyāyānusāra. This master's intention is: "because this exists, that exists" refutes causelessness; "because this arises, that arises" refutes a permanent cause, because arising is impermanent.
