9.225

論「有釋為顯至果分亦生」，此述經部異師。此有故彼有者，是因相續有、果相續有，此顯住也。因分生故，果分亦生，此顯生也。

The treatise says: "Some explain: to show [the continuum of cause exists, therefore the continuum of effect exists] to [the part of effect is also born]." This recounts another Sautrāntika master. "Because this exists, that exists" means that the continuum of cause exists, therefore the continuum of effect exists, which shows abiding. Because the part of cause arises, the part of effect also arises, which shows arising.
