9.251

論「已生為緣故至廣說如經」，釋生緣老死也。辨十二支，廣如經說。已上依經部釋十二支也。已下依論釋經純大苦蘊集。

The treatise says: "With what has already been born as condition ... as extensively explained in the sūtra." This explains birth conditioning old age and death. Discerning the twelve links is extensively explained in the sūtras. The above explains the twelve links according to the Sautrāntika school. Below, following the treatise, it explains the sūtra phrase "the origination of this entire great mass of suffering."
