9.63

論「此定非有至不可得故」，破外道執也。汝說我者，非如色等現量可知，非如眼等有用比量可知，故定非有。

On the Śāstra's 'This definitely does not exist... because it cannot be apprehended': this refutes the attachment of non-Buddhists. The self you assert is not cognizable through direct perception like form and so forth, nor is it cognizable through inference based on function like the eye and so forth; therefore, it definitely does not exist.
