9.8

論「諸趣中有至業所遮故」，此第三也。縱令地獄中有即有火隨，餘趣中有，由業遮故不為火燒。釋所以也。

[On the] Śāstra's [words], "The intermediate existences of the various destinies... because they are blocked by karma": this is the third point. Even granting that the intermediate existence of hell is immediately accompanied by fire, the intermediate existences of other destinies are not burned by the fire because they are obstructed by karma. This explains the reason.
