第二、明造論意者，大意有三：一為眾生斷煩惱故、二欲令智者慧解深故、三弘持正法令久住故。

Second, explaining the intent of composing the treatise: in broad terms, there are three reasons: first, to enable sentient beings to sever defilements; second, to cause the wise to deepen their discernment of wisdom; third, to propagate and uphold the orthodox Dharma so that it may abide for a long time.
