從此大文第九，明四有者，論云：「如是緣起煩惱業事生生相續，不過四有：中生本死，如前已釋，染不染義、三界有無，今當略辨。」頌曰：
From here, the ninth major section clarifies the four states of existence. The Śāstra states: "The succession of lives in this dependent origination of defilements, karma, and entities does not exceed four states of existence: intermediate, arising, basic, and dying existence. As explained previously, their meanings of defiled and undefiled and their presence or absence in the three realms will now be briefly analyzed." The verse says:
