Explanation: The Trāyastriṃśa gods, by their own supernormal power, are able to ascend from their native place to the Yāma heaven; or else relying on others, meaning that those who have obtained supernormal powers and higher gods escort them to the Yāma heaven. The remaining gods ascending above are analogous to this: whether coming or arriving, those below see the higher gods. However, the lower eye cannot view the realm and ground of the higher, because it is not its domain, just as one does not perceive their touch. Taking advantage of this topic, the sizes of the heavens are explained again. Other masters say: 'The receptacles of the four [heavens] beginning with Yāma have the same measure as the summit of Mount Sumeru.' Other masters say: 'Above, they double successively.' Other masters say: 'The measure of the first dhyāna is equal to one set of the four great continents; the second dhyāna is equal to a small-thousandworld; the third dhyāna is equal to a medium-thousandworld; the fourth dhyāna is equal to a great-thousandworld.'
