造作名業，此品廣明，故名分別。釋此品頌總作三門：一明業體性、二釋諸業名、三雜明諸業。

Action means karma; this chapter explains it extensively, and so it is called the 'Analysis [of Karma]'. In explaining the verses of this chapter, there are three overall headings: first, explaining the essential nature of karma; second, explaining the names of the various karmas; third, miscellaneous explanations of the various karmas.
