此下第一，明二三業，牒前問起。論云：「如前所說，有情世間及器世間各多差別，如是差別由誰而生？」頌曰：
Hereunder is the first, explaining the two and three karmas, taking up the preceding to raise the question. The treatise states: 'As explained before, the world of sentient beings and the physical world have manifold distinctions; through what are such distinctions produced?' The verse says:
