且初殺已非業道者，論云：「有起加行，定欲殺他，而與所殺生俱死或前死，亦得根本業道罪耶？」頌曰：
First, as for having killed, it is yet not a course of action: The treatise states: "If one undertakes the preparatory effort, definitely intending to kill another, but dies simultaneously with or before the one to be killed, does one also incur the guilt of a fundamental course of action?" The verse says:
