16.97

憎有情者，謂欲於他行傷害事，如是瞋恚名瞋業道。若瞋自身及瞋非情，過輕非業道。輪王、北洲貪等是輕，皆非業道。

"Hating sentient beings" means wishing to carry out harmful deeds against others; such malice is named the karmapatha of malice. If one is angry at one's own body or angry at insentient things, the fault is too slight to be a karmapatha. The covetousness and so forth of a wheel-turning king or of Uttarakuru are slight and are none of them karmapathas.
