17.51

初有四二三者，初謂善業以善法為四果，除異熟果。善業以不善法為二果，謂士用、增上。因善引生，是士用果。善法不障，是增上果。善業以無記法為三果，除等流及離繫。性不同故，除等流果。非擇滅故，除離繫果。

Regarding "the first has four, two, three": "the first" means that wholesome karma takes wholesome phenomena as four fruits, excluding the fruit of ripening. Wholesome karma takes unwholesome phenomena as two fruits, namely personal endeavor and sovereignty. Being induced and produced by the wholesome is the fruit of personal endeavor. Wholesome phenomena not obstructing is the sovereign fruit. Wholesome karma takes indeterminate phenomena as three fruits, excluding outflow and disconnection. Because their nature is not the same, the outflow fruit is excluded. Because it is not analytical cessation, the fruit of disconnection is excluded.
