從此第九，明果由內心，論云：「若於善田殖施業種，可招愛果。若於惡田雖施，但應招非愛果（難也，此難非理也）。所以者何？」頌曰：

From here [in the] ninth [section], [the text] explains that the fruit is due to the inner mind. The śāstra says: "If one plants the seed of giving-karma in a good field, an agreeable fruit may be induced. If one gives to a bad field, it ought only to induce a disagreeable fruit (an objection; this objection is unreasonable). Why is that?" The verse says:
