釋曰：惡田者，傍生等也。雖施惡田，施種善故，還招愛果。良以種果無顛倒故，種謂施因，果謂施果，現見田中種果無倒。如從末度伽種，末度伽果生，其形如棗，其味極美。從賃婆種，賃婆果生，其果大小，如苦練子，其味極苦。

Explanation: "A bad field" refers to animals and so forth. Although one gives to a bad field, because the seed of giving is wholesome, it still induces an agreeable fruit. It is truly because there is no inversion between seed and fruit: the "seed" refers to the cause of giving, and the "fruit" refers to the fruit of giving. In the field, one visibly observes that there is no inversion between seed and fruit: just as from a madhūka seed, a madhūka fruit is born, its shape like a jujube and its taste extremely sweet; from a nimba seed, a nimba fruit is born, the size of its fruit like that of a chinaberry and its taste extremely bitter.
