打心出佛血,害後無學無者,無者,無無間也。此無字通兩處:一、不起殺心,但起打心,出佛身血無無間罪。二、殺後無學亦無無間,謂殺時未成無學,將死時方成無學,名後無學也。
"Drawing the Buddha's blood with intent to strike, or killing a subsequent non-learner, does not constitute it": "does not constitute it" means there is no act of immediate retribution. This word "does not" applies to two places: first, if one does not produce an intention to kill, but only produces an intention to strike, drawing blood from the Buddha's body does not constitute the sin of immediate retribution; second, killing a subsequent non-learner also does not constitute an immediate retribution—meaning that at the time of the killing [the victim] had not yet become a non-learner (aśaikṣa), and only when on the verge of death did he become a non-learner, which is called a 'subsequent non-learner.'"
