從此第二，定宗。論云：「今此部中差別有幾（問數）？誰所立世最善可依（問宗差別）？」頌曰：
Next is the second [part], settling the tenets. The treatise says: "Now in this school, how many distinctions are there (asking for the number)? Whose formulation of the time-periods is the best and can be relied upon (asking about the distinctions among the tenets)?" The verse says:
