從此第二，諸門分別，論云：「此不淨觀何性（一問）？依幾地（二問）？緣何境（三問）？何處生（四問）？何行相（五問）？緣何世（六問）？為有漏、為無漏（七問）？為離染得、為加行得（八問）？」頌曰：

Second, concerning the distinctions through various categories, the treatise says: "What is the intrinsic nature of this meditation on the repulsive (first question)? On how many stages does it depend (second question)? What object does it take (third question)? In what state of existence does it arise (fourth question)? What is its aspect (fifth question)? What time period does it take as object (sixth question)? Is it contaminated or uncontaminated (seventh question)? Is it acquired through detachment or through application (eighth question)?" A verse says:
