23.22

世第一亦然者，從上品忍無間生世第一法，此世第一唯緣欲苦，唯有一行一剎那心，同前上忍，故言亦然。此有漏故，名為世間。於世間中是最勝故，名為第一。此世第一有士用力，離同類因，引見道生，故名最勝。

"The worldly supreme [dharmas] are also like this": immediately following the highest forbearance, the worldly supreme dharmas arise. These worldly supreme dharmas take only the suffering of desire as their object and consist of only a one-aspect, one-moment mind, the same as the previous highest forbearance; therefore, it says "are also like this." Because this is with outflows, it is called "worldly." Because it is the most supreme among the worldly, it is called "supreme." These worldly supreme dharmas possess human effort, being free from a cause of the same category, and induce the arising of the path of vision; hence they are called the most supreme.
