釋曰：正滅位言，顯居現在。道能斷障，唯正滅時，餘位定無斷障用故。此言道者，即金剛喻定也。

Explanation: The words 'state of proper cessation' show that it resides in the present. The path can sever hindrances only when it is properly ceasing, because in other states it definitely lacks the function of severing hindrances. What is referred to here as 'the path' is the vajropamasamādhi (adamantine concentration).
