曾所得非修者，若法先時曾得棄捨，今雖還得，不名所修。曾來未得，今時方得，名為所修，用功得故。

[Regarding] "What was previously obtained is not cultivation": if a dharma was previously obtained and later abandoned, though it is regained now, it is not called cultivated. Only that which has never been obtained before and is obtained just now is called cultivated, because it is obtained through effort.
