釋曰：神體謂等持者，神名所目，唯勝等持，由此能為神變事故。
The commentary says: Regarding "the essential nature of psychic power is samādhi": that which the name "psychic power" designates is only superior samādhi, because by means of this one is able to perform deeds of psychic transformation.
