互相望如次，生二三三一者，順退分能生二，謂順退、順住。順住分能生三，除順決擇分。順勝進分能生三，除順退分。順決擇分唯能生一，謂自順決擇分也。

As for 'relative to each other, they generate respectively two, three, three, and one,' the division concordant with falling away can give rise to two, namely [those concordant with] falling away and maintenance. The division concordant with maintenance can give rise to three, excluding the division concordant with penetration. The division concordant with special progression can give rise to three, excluding the division concordant with falling away. The division concordant with penetration can give rise to only one, namely its own division concordant with penetration.
