28.80

釋曰：味定緣自繫者，味定唯緣自地有漏，不緣下地，謂已離故；亦不緣上，愛地別故；不緣無漏，應成善故。

The explanation says: As for 'tasting absorption cognizes what is bound to itself,' tasting absorption cognizes only the defiled phenomena of its own stage; it does not cognize the lower stage, because that has already been separated from; nor does it cognize the upper, because craving is distinct according to stage; nor does it cognize the undefiled, because [then it] would become wholesome.
