28.96

中唯伺者，中間靜慮無尋唯伺三摩地也。上無者，二禪已上乃至有頂，無尋無伺，此名無尋無伺三摩地也。

'The intermediate has subtle reflection only' means the samādhi of the intermediate dhyāna, which is without gross investigation and with subtle reflection only. 'The higher have neither' means that from the second dhyāna upward up to the peak of existence, there is neither gross investigation nor subtle reflection; this is called the samādhi without gross investigation and without subtle reflection.
