The explanation says: Since this verse speaks of Buddhas across the three times, it is with reference to the Buddha's wisdom in the state of a continuum knowing all phenomena, and not because of a self that he can know everything all at once, since the Buddha, the World-Honoured One, is subsumed within the three times. That school asserts that the essence of the self is the Buddha, the World-Honoured One, yet they also state that the essence of the self is not subsumed within the three times. Since this verse says that the Buddha is in the three times, the self you assert is not the World-Honoured One. Since the self is not the Buddha, it is clear that omniscience is not due to a self knowing everything all at once. The principle should also be like this.
