（一方、二獸、三地、四光、五言、六金剛、七眼、八天、九水，皆一瞿聲，目斯九義，指方言瞿，瞿則目方，指獸言瞿，瞿即目獸也。餘准可知耳）。

(1. Direction, 2. animal, 3. earth, 4. light, 5. speech, 6. vajra, 7. eye, 8. heaven, 9. water—all use the single sound 'go' to denote these nine meanings. Pointing to a direction and saying 'go', 'go' designates direction; pointing to an animal and saying 'go', 'go' designates animal. The rest can be understood accordingly.)
