且初總標名者，論云：「如是已說不相應行，前言生相生所生法，非離所餘因緣和合，此中何法說為因緣（此總問也）？且因六種（總答）。何等為六（別問）？」頌曰：

First, regarding the general presentation of the names, the treatise states: 'Having thus spoken of the factors disassociated from thought, it was stated earlier that the characteristic of arising gives rise to the dharma that is produced, not without the concurrence of the remaining causes and conditions. Among these, what dharmas are spoken of as causes and conditions? (This is the general question.) First, causes are of six kinds (general answer). What are the six? (Specific question.)'
